1996!!! is a native iPhone app for browsing fictional retro web pages generated on device.
Data Collection
1996!!! does not collect personal data. The app does not require an account, does not use third-party advertising, and does not track users across apps or websites.
Information Used On Device
The app uses text you type into the browser field, app settings, and recent page state to render the browsing experience locally. This information stays on the device.
Apple Foundation Models
On supported devices and operating systems, Apple Foundation Models may be used for bounded page flavor. When that runtime is not available, the app uses local deterministic generation.
Local Storage
1996!!! may store app-local settings and recent generation state using UserDefaults so the app can remember browser state and preferences.
Network Access
1996!!! contains a WKWebView because it behaves like a browser. Generated fictional pages are created locally. If you enter a real web address, the web view may load user-directed web content.
